Meet Dr. Kaleb Valdez

From the Corporate World to Chiropractic

The business world was, surprisingly, where Dr. Valdez started out. He studied archaeology, business administration and foreign languages during college. His emphasis was on international business and entrepreneurship with a focus on Near Eastern Studies. He is a native Spanish speaker and has studied Hebrew, Arabic, French, Portuguese and Mandarin.

This genetic condition results in low muscle tone, and is known for insatiable hunger. An early growth hormone treatment changed the outcome of her diagnosis. Dr. Valdez became the first chiropractor to specialize in this unique syndrome and serve this incredible group of patients. During Dr. Valdez’ research on the syndrome, he learned that the change in muscle tone affects the formation of the spine and can result in scoliosis. Knowing nothing more than that chiropractic could help align the spine, he decided to transform his path and become a chiropractor. He has since learned that chiropractic can do so much more to ensure a vibrant, healthy nervous system, which improves the body’s ease and natural ability to adapt to all aspects of a very complex syndrome. This leads to the best quality of life for the kids and families that Dr. Valdez affectionately calls his “PW Warriors.”

A Love for Helping Others Stay Well

Dr. Valdez left his previous life in the business world to pursue his goal in graduate school to become the first chiropractor to specialize in helping kids like his niece. He attended Parker University in Dallas to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic. There, he learned how to work with the master system of the body, the nervous system. He has a passion for helping other families who have been affected by Prader-Willi Syndrome. He also has advanced training in pediatric and pregnancy care. Some of Dr. Valdez’s patients are just minutes to hours old, and the adjustment is incredibly safe and comfortable for the baby to restore and preserve healthy nerve activity in the body.

The many people Dr. Valdez has taken care of include high-performing, world-class athletes. He wants to share that chiropractic isn’t about back and neck pain but rather optimizing your full body function and injury prevention. One triathlete who received care from him did so not because of pain but because she knew it would allow her to get more from her body. He enjoys helping his patients reach the highest levels of wellness.

Getting the Most Out of Life

Dr. Valdez is a lover of music and had played the piano since age 5. He performs with the Millennial Choirs and Orchestras and recently performed in Carnegie Hall this summer. With a love of the outdoors, he goes camping, hiking, star gazing and travels when he can. He is the oldest of five children, which became 15 when his parents blended their families, and has three nephews and a niece.

He is also a speechwriter and is authoring a book. The experiences he’s had in life, including stints living in Latin America, the Asia-Pacific Rim, and the Middle East, have helped him to relate to and understand the many people he sees in the office. Dr. Valdez studied international business at Brigham Young University–HawaiiEastern Arizona College, and the Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies prior to completing his doctoral degree at Parker University.
